About Me

My name is Delores Peck and I’m the author of the Lella Rae series of Sign books. I am using a pseudonym for this series as I plan to write non-mysteries as well and will use my real name for those. Lella was my childhood nickname. My middle name is Rae. Hence, Lella Rae.

I was born in Tacoma, Washington and have lived in Seattle most of my life I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Humanities.

I have been writing for many years. I wrote a terrible novel when I was in my 20s but you will probably never see that. I have since written mostly non-fiction; a monthly column in the Seattle Police Officers Guild newspaper, The Guardian, and I wrote and edited a monthly newsletter, Spectrum, for Northwest Art Alliance for six years. I have since returned to my first love, fiction.
